Photoshop Element 7

Hi all

Probably not a big problem, but when opening photos in organize in Element 7, they come up showed as an 'eggtimer' and not as a picture. On ly when I click on it will open as a picture, but it means I will have to open the 'eggtimer' before I can view thwe picture.

Why is that and what is the answer, does anybody know, please.

Ole

When in the organiser look in the bottom left corner and you will probably see an animated egg timer icon and the words 'Generating Thumbnails'. If you wait long enough the egg timer icons will change to a thumbnail of the image. When you click on the thumbnail you are asking the computer to generate that particular thumbnail straight away.

I have Elements 7 but don't use it much as I use Lightroom for my 'organiser'. Consequently it is taking quite a long time to generate the tens of thousands of thumbnails in my catalogue. The faster the PC and the more memory you have the quicker it will happen.
