Unhappy elements 9- cascading images

i wish to view several images in the workspace but can't do it without using the arrange feature which is a bit limiting for me.

The help say go to window...images...select cascade.... but the options are greyed out
So what next
Any ideas
Thanks
GB

I take it you've got at least one image open when you go to Window > Images > Cascade ? It won't work if there are no images open.

oh yes, i've tried several combinations but when i go to window.....images... the tile cascade group of options is greyed out. This is really annoying me and I'm thinking of dumping the software if i can't solve it.

Strange.... I gave the Elements 9 Trial version a spin but it seemed to cause a lot of problems - and gave up the ghost completely when I put some Actions on it.

Just seen this elsewhere, apparently you have to, allow floating images in preferences under edit.

Oh right, well that's a new one on me. At least we can pass that on the next time we get the question - and we will!
