OP - sometimes I find DPP converts a RAW file so much better than Photoshop. No idea why but there it is. Worth keeping DPP just for that. I scrapped the rest of the Canon suite though.

Ha ha Drew that made me laugh! I use a Canon 550D but I know lots of Nikon uses and they always live up to the hype
