Should I get rid of other programs?

I just bought PS Elements 9. I was just wondering if I should get rid of the other photo programs on my computer now, like, Zoombrowser,Digital Photo Professional, EOS Utility and Picture Styl Editor.

I do use RAW when I shoot. I'm a newbe to all of this, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thank You

Roger

It depends which features they have that are good, and how much you like them?

I use Lightroom and Photoshop, and am constantly switching between them to do different things

If you have plenty of room on your harddrive leave them there.

On the other hand, if you're running short on HD space, Zoombrowser and Picture Styl Editor could go. DPP and EOS Utility should stay if you're using Canon gear, otherwise they're doing nothing.

Exactly what Matt said. Only remove a program that you have no use for again.

If you have the space and there is a feature that is useful in a specific application then why remove it?

i wouldnt delete it, alothugh i got rid of zoombrowser, if your short on space look to other non photographic applications you dont need and use, i got rid of loads it incresed my memory but does also allow your pc to run a lot quicker, your control pannel will tell you which is less used and that may help you decide, but dont delete any essential programess,

dan,

I'd recommend reformatting to a Mac

Buy a new drive and fit it yourself - it's very easy to do. Seagate 1.5TB Barracuda 7200RPM SATA-300 32MB at only £56.98. I have two of these and they are very good. In fact you may have space for another harddrive to be fitted in you current PC.
