Afraid I just end up needing to constantly clean mine. I press the camera up to my eye to take the picture and my glasses get rubbed into my eyes and get a bit grubby. I've just learned to live with it. I am not sure that there are any clever tricks (other than laser surgery) but it would be good to hear some.

I might use glasses to spot bugs etcetc, but take them off when using the camera. You can buy a special rubber eyecup which helps if you wear glasses. You can also get eyepiece diopters in various strengths to help you see without using glasses.

THat`s good - I thought I must be the only one getting that grease all over my spectacle glass. I used to always wear contacts but of late struggle to see the smaller lettering on panels and bi-focal lenses have not worked too well. I`ve now switched to varifocal lenses which I always wear for my shooting but like the OP sometimes find I go off the vertica at tmes.Nothing a bit of NX2 cannot solve or you could even claim it is deliberate if it is a reportage wedding shot :-)

The most annoying thing (having to wear glasses myself) is the times when light interferes reflecting back into the eye so you cannot see into the eyepiece without a broad rim hat to provide adequate shade !

If I didn't share the camera with my mrs I would buy an eye cup with a lens in. I think the thing that gets me the most is if I'm taking a shot low down and I'm looking over the top of my glasses. I find myself having too keep pushing them up nose clarke kent style ! I might have a look around fora better eye cup for the 20d.

I don't wear glasses myself so dunno if I'm missing the point but can't you just adjust the diopter on the viewfinder so you don't have to wear your glasses when you look through it?!

I paid for laser surgery to get over this issue, but a less drastic option is to go with the dioptre adjustments that have been suggested. If your camera's dioptre can't be adjusted sufficiently you can get stronger replacements.

Eg.
For Canon

You can use dropdown to choose a different manufacturer.

You can, but then it gets to be a bit of a pain in the **** to take the glasses off to take the picture and put them back on to see normally etc.
