Hi Guys

I have been thinking of getting my own website for a while now and i was simply lookin for some advice on what other users feel would be a good provider to get to build my website.

Any advice would be helpful...

Cheers Matty

I use Moonfruit.com. Pretty handy, full domain registration and you can build it from anywhere.

If it's just for photography, the clickpic websites are very popular.

I've looked at Clickpic before which seem very good. I ended up building my own though using DreamWeaver (more of a challenge!).

I take it that's adobe dreamweaver? That would be far too complex for me lol! I've heard of clickpic, does that give you the option for a shopping cart ect? There's that many out there offering different deals.

It will just be to showcase my work also maybe to sell prints?

Yes Matthew, it's Adobe DreamWeaver - great for whiling away the hours on a cold wet non-photographic day !!

Clickpic allows you to integrate a PayPal shopping cart which is basically free although they will charge a % commission for each sale. I use PayPal on my site and it's always worked fine - you could buy a print off mine to test it if you like

Thanks for the comments Matty, much appreciated (that's the new look website I've been playing with for hours and hours and hours). Now to get a load more decent shots to put on there

Cheers
Andy

I use a firm called luxipics for mine which launched at this years Foucs on Imaging event at the NEC with a great opening deal where I got unlimited space for £39 - usually double that. You get password protected galleries with the pro version and people can order from the site though I`ve not used that facility yet. very supportive as I am useless at these things and very similar to clikpic but better value I feel. Bought the domain name elsewhere and forwarded it to my luxipics site
