Flash failure
Hi all,
was just about to buy the canon 580 ex mk2 flash when I read on the CANON RUMORS website of a build and failure problem. Has anyone any info on this as I thought this was canons best flash unit or should I stay safe with the 430ex mk2.

I've not heard anything about it. I've got two & they work perfectly well.

Mind you, I've had several flashguns & have never had one fail yet. I think the ones that have been in the loft for the last 5 or so years still work & a couple of them are over 20 years old.

Thank you for the reply Cathus, canon won't confirm or even talk to people who have had these issues which made me stand back from ordering one.
