Smile Lightroom to CS3 editing and back

Hi all,

I have Lightroom 1.1 and have just sent a file to CS3 for editing. Once my edit had been done i saved the file as explained by Scott Kelby in his LR book so that it would go back to LR with the edits. This happened fine.

Question is, LR has saved the original and edited version at the end of my pictures rather then saving it were the original was. This means that the pic is now out of the original timeline of events.

Can i put them back in its place or is it possible to do the edits and get CS3/LR to remember where they were originally?

eg: file started as 29. Sent for edits and brought back to LR and now file is numbered 51. i want the file to go back to 29.

Hope that makes sense???

Any help would be appreciated.

Still using version 1.1 Dulz - my you must be one of the few. I'm guessing here because I can't actually remember what the interface of v1.1 looked like anymore although in all probability it won't have changed much. In Library view at the bottom of the main window should be a symbol A/Z and next to it the word Sort. If you click on Sort a number of options will be available to you one being Capture Time. The A/Z can be used if you want to reverse the order of any option chosen.

By the way, you can't drag and drop images into any particular sort order in the Library 'grid view'. For this you have to create a 'Collection' which does allow you this feature.

Yep still on 1.1 Forsetti. It does me fine for now so no need to spend and upgrade!

Thanks for the info, i got it eventually using the View option on the top of the screen which gave me the options as you mentioned!

Happy New Year!
