Market town RIP WH X

One of the first people I started documenting was a good friend of mine, WH.

He lived a few doors away from me. 94 and all the stories in the world. Taught me the waltz, taught me many things, taught me to take photos, not in the literal sense, his influence was in enabling my documenting people, giving me confidence and encouraging me.

He loved the photos I made with him, would show them off all around the village. I'd go in the Post Office and hear tales of him visiting and sharing them around, the pub the same.

WH died 2 weeks after this photograph, the last ever made of him, was taken.

RIP mate x

Hi Jim,
Sorry your friend died :-(

A great shot as always and all the more special as it was taken so close to his departing this life. I think you have a certain style that is becoming your own and you know how to capture the essence of the people you photograph. Well done, another great shot.

Karen
