Well, those are from a rival publisher to the owner of PhotoRadar

If you look at history that can exlain it. PP, has been around a long time and was of course film only. DP was started to focus on digital photography. PP had to start covering digital as film was dying. Both, I assume, have maintained enough sales to make it viable to produce both.
Now for something from Future Publications, Digital Camera is "generic" and PhotoPlus is Canon DSLR specific. DC, used to camera type (point and shoot, SLR, etc) generic, but has become more focused on DSLRs recently.
Since you are a Canon person, and if that is a DLSR, I would recommend PhotoPlus, I have been a subscriber since I got my camera and have learned a lot.
