Snow scene

Driving home as heavy snow began to fall. My husband was driving, I placed my camera near the dashboard of the car, selected a high ISO and large aperture and shot as we moved. Went for a tin type look as I felt it would suit this shot. The flakes are combined with moisture droplets and bokeh.

You have certainly captured and expressed the mood with the processing Karen. Nice one! (Not sure about timing re composition with the light play so tight to top, but definately a street shot many can relate too)

Thanks, Andy :-)

I agree about the lighting but to be honest I never even thought about the composition at the time, just clicked the shutter. It is something I could crop out but I like the bunched up bokeh and droplets. I see your point about it being tight to the top though, some space overhead would have been better.

Always another time perhaps - I do like the atmosphere of the shot.

Definitely this is one very interesting photograph, with a cinematographic feeling, in the way we see everyday life and in the way I also see photography. Documentary and street. A cool view of an everyday scene at winter time, but really well captured. The only comment I could make would be about the lamp. But from an other point of view, if the lamp was exploded when you were shooting, you have captured a really decisive moment, the interaction of warm with cool. But I’m not sure about the effect. Does anybody know a good electrician?
Very good work, Karen, I’m with you. αR

Thanks, aRitsos I'd like to say the light was exploding but it was just a side effect of moisture and bokeh :-) I've redone the shot.

What about this, Andy, aRitsos, think its better? I actually like this one better now so you were both right :-) Thanks for the help.
