Question YN 560II flash

Hi,

I have got YN 560 ii for my Canon 550d. When I put the flash on the hot shoe, the camera has detected that a flash has been placed on camera.

But when trying to access external flash menus, it says 'Menu not accessible. Either no flash is connected or switched off'

Please anybody help me, on how to use the external flash with 550d.

Thanks in advance.

The YN 560II flash does not support E-TTL so the camera cannot control it. You have to make adjustments on the flash itself.

Put working batteries in it, turn it on, take photo As long as you got one for a Canon, you should be ok.
