4/3 lens

Can any body help me please? Iam looking to purchase a 150 - 500mm sigma len to fit my olympus E30 but I understand that Sigma do not make this len in a 4/3 fit any more. so iam looking for a used one or should I buy a 2x converter for my 70 - 300mm ??????

I'd look for the Sigma lens if I were you.

While putting a x2 teleconverter on your (what I presume is a Zuiko ED 70-300 f/4-5.6) lens will give you a 140-600mm, which sounds all well and good, you have to remember the 2 stop loss. The maximum aperture will change from F/4-5.6 to f/8-f/11.

Unless your subject is stationary or its a nice bright day, you'll probably suffer with motion blur from resulting slow shutter speeds.

One other thing to add is that you may loose AF if the lens is that slow.
