Weekend Competition Rule Change Poll

Sometimes I have to work a weekend, so if I could post an entry as soon as a theme is set, that would be perfect.

On many occassions I have has to miss a comp due to being on call at the weekend, thankfully I am only on call every 1 in 5...but the point is, I love this competition, the chat and the advice....why should I miss out for work commitments.

Also on a few occassions I have had a great idea on the Thursday......but had to wait til the weekend and if it as outdoors idea, the weather might not be favourable.........

Err, so has the rule changed now? Have been away for a while, not quite sure, or are we still kicking it about?
PS I voted for the 1st option. And who is/was the Mandarin who will/has close the subject?

Not changed yet. Hinfrance was good enough to set up the poll for 4 days so any change to days that shots can be taken will apply from the next competition.

Im new to photography and this site etc Ive only managed to enter once so far as the weather on the weekens dont match the ideas ive came up with, also with weekend comitments ( running kids round, being dragged round town etc the weekend can be very short.)

Well get your vote in if you have not already and you can extend the "weekend". I think it`s worth a rule change if it increases numbers and still alloows flexibility / balance between those working / not.

But we must understand that there should be no pressure on who ever has to choose the thread, as long as it is no later than Thursday evening. Its not fair to rush into a theme unless you have one in your mind to begin with. EEEEE what say yeee ?

Although, and just to play Devil's advocate, it usually becomes apparent whether or not you are in the running and therefore thinking caps can go on early door just in case.

True.....also, and this is just my own personal habit, once the poll is up I always start to think of a new theme regardless of whether I am getting votes or not.
