Being absolutely truthful I was sweating during the 'sayings' weekend Comp in case I won! I really wasn't looking forward to the time it was going to take to set everything up.

Now, before I get Flamed I'm quite sure that when one has done it 13 or 14 times it becomes straightforward, and I tend to 'stick at' things so for me it is less of an issue. But lets be honest the site aught to be 'drag drop/point click' not 'left click, right click, backspace, backflip, Enter, triple-salko'!
I've yet to try this I agree that it is all so very daunting. Sort of envisaging the whole site crashing when I try to do it. Is it possible to make clickable photos on all of the forums, or is it just applicable to the week end comp forum? The reason I ask is because we are going away next week but I have taken a shot today Re. " Twisted". I thought I might post it on the " Critique Forum" and make it clickable for practise, if that's possible.

John - the process is the same on any thread for uploading clickable image as described above. More complex than it need be I agree but once you`ve done it a few times it becomes everyday.

Paul's right, the principle is universal on this site.

Although that does nothing to make getting an image in the gallery in the first place less like filling in a job application for MI5.

Oh Boys, I'm so glad it's not only me (middle aged - elderly? housewife) who regularly struggles with the linking of pictures! Sometimes it works straight away, sometimes I have to try several times before being successful and when I put my 'Double Dutch/Dutch Courage' in the chat thread last week, I could NOT make it work, whatever I tried! (And I left both bottles unopened, so it wasn't an overdose of Dutch Courage that made things difficult.)

Sorry for the late up and downs but damn work kept getting in the way, so I thought I’d give myself five minutes to do some photography stuff.

I’ve seemed to notice an underlying theme in all the chat threads over the last few weeks and that is the difficulty in loading images on to this site and especially into the threads, so like H I post from Flickr – it is so much easier and Flickr gives you all the code so no need to click mountain icons etc, it’s just cut and paste – simples!!

Anyway back to the comp, congratulations Mark on the win (are you going for the hat trick this weekend??) and well done Drew of pushing Mark right to the end.
My vote went to H for his Apple of my eye, I just thought it was done very well (confession time, when I first saw the image I thought the saying was Eyes of Mars )

Thank you to Angii and Baffled for my votes

If you hadn’t guessed my image was made up of two separate photographs, I first got my other half to just off our decking (yeah I know decking), I really wanted her to jump off a chair to get some real falling movement but apparently you cannot do that in high heels (???). I then went down the river to see if I could get something with some reflection, such a pity the sky was so flat and grey. I then put the two images together with Photoshop using layers.

Ups and Downs
Paul – Great detail on the cat with nice DOF to keep the focus on it and fitted the theme perfectly.

Semaj – Really nice idea and again fitted the theme I just feel the focus is on the wrong part of the image.

I haven’t thought of anything interesting ideas for this weekend there yet!!! still trying.

Thanks for the input and encouragement folks. Reinardina, when it comes to technology and doing things on computers I am the worlds worst. Especially, if it's something new. It's my age you see. My daughter has given up with me
