I have not got the time for boxes and sticky tape at the moment, and used my initative

The PC screen is simply being used in a similar way as lightboxes are used in film photography or Xray; For viewing a picture with light behind it. I simply used it as part of the scene to capture the additional light on camera.

Used as a lightbox, the PC screen broadens the abilities for various different effects. Quite a few folk who use texture files in software packages are likely using scanned in image files created via a scanner, rather than ones made by a conventional digital camera with lenses.

Its all related to photography. In college we did photograms, cyanotypes, scannergrams, rollei black magic imagery and all kinds of different image techniques. Even one using an egg to create a photograph. You can buy some black and white darkroom paper, keep it in a light proof bag till use. Take one sheet out and place it outdoors in the sunlight for a while with a flower or something on it. When you think its had enough exposure just bring it indoors and put it straight into a tray of fix. You will get an image left on the paper, that sometimes can be quite nice. Its just about experimenting.
