Really like the black and white one, especially the way the light shines through the flower, maybe needs a smidge more contrast but that’s just me

Must look at getting a light box or even make one with an old egg box, some grease proof paper and sticky back plastic

OOOOooo, interesting! So that's the effect using something not transparant in any way. Like it.

Nope, that's post processing. lol

I have put a piece of white printer paper as well as the greaseproof and also used a bit of fill in flashto try to blow the highlights a little. Then the white background has been adjusted with levels and a dodge to try to even the white out.

Using the PC screen as a lightbox - Was that the craze you had in mind Chris ? - No messing with boxes and papers - a ready made library of textures and images there at the fingertips for a single shot on camera

You can get some pleasing effects using your photo scanner as well.
