Another new 'un!

Hi everyone!

Thought it was about time I said hello, seeing as I've been registered for a couple of weeks now!

I took the plunge and bought myself a 550D just before christmas with months of "secret" savings (well hidden from my wife - kinda let the cat out of the bag when I came home with the camera! ) and have been getting more and more obsessed with learning techniques, composition, what settings to use etc etc. I've even left the house at 7am on Sundays to get some sunrise photos here in Walsall!

The forum is great, and from what I've seen - far more talented photographers here than on DPReview.com! I hope to be able to take photos that are at least 1/2 as good someday!

I to am a newcomer and bought like you a 550D..hope you enjoy it..You will find a lot of talent here they're a friendly bunch and very helpful..

Hello Adam, welcome aboard.

If you are new to photography can I suggest that you try and enter the weekly comp - you'll get at least two critiques of your pics a week but more importantly it's a great way to keep you trying new things and regularly taking photos.

Really hope you enjoy using such a great camera.

Hey, we have enough noobs here! Just kidding Welcome! I still have not yet submitted a pic for the weekend competitions. Weekends are too busy for me with two four year olds, we need week day competitions.
