Another very similar situation from this weeks game, the weather was very foggy and about 0c but the D3s cut right through the gloom as it was almost dark and the floodlights were on.

Hi Harry, I use the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 with a TC, if the light is poor I remove the TC to maximise light, though with the D3s its never a problem.

Here is one from the game on Sat , the light was great cloudy but bright it was like the sky was one great big softbox

@BSmith re: your post on 5 Sept - fantastic! Ball, action, referee, spectators, close up and pin sharp detail all in one shot!
@ Dave V - I like the juxtaposition of the 'raging bull' on the shirt and the fact that the player on the right appears to be wearing pink underwear!
