I love the colours on that sunset Steve. I sit in an 8th floor office and the view of the sunset most of this week has been superb. I regretted not having my camera. The other night I was driving home and the moon was bright and huge with just enough cloud to form little patters silhouetted against the moon. I rushed home, grabbed the camera, found a spot and guess what........CLOUDS covered the moon, it was just a blurred glow by I got set up. Was gutted!

Do you live on a flight path? Some of the straighter 'clouds' look like plane trails and have picked up on the colurs amazingly. Wish I was under that sunset now.

Oh if only I was telepathic!

I am another struggling for inspiration. The only place I really want to go to is my bed! I have been looking after my two Grandchildren all week, one is three and the other is one year old. I am exhausted!

That also explains why I have hardly ever got to the site this week

Yes, we do live right under the flightpath from Heathrow to USA. We get loads of contrails in the sky nearly all day long and, at sunrise and sunset we get some great effects as you can see.

Beds can look inviting - I'm knack'd having been awake for far to long already today, I think I over done it a bit with manual labour in the last few days. I just do not have any energy today

Cheers Mike, never enough hours in the day and I still find it difficult to pace myself having always been quite active before the grips of Parkies crept up amongst things to steal my health. Still, trying to remain young at heart, and our three year old keeps assisting in that regard - I have to admit at being lazy with my websites at present (although I have sold a couple of books etc.,) simply as I need to devote time to the building project while I am physically able; chicken and egg as they say

For what it's worth.

My immediate reaction on seeing the words 'Pick Me Up,' was the thought of a stimulating drink; then I thought of babies and toddlers stretching out their little arms because they want to be picked up (Kentlass?); followed by small puppies sitting down awkwardly, looking up at you, begging for attention.

The 'drinks in clean glasses' conjured up an image of a roaring log fire, a comfortable leather chair and a glass of single malt (that would definitely stir my desire, even though I haven't had a single malt for a very long time. It might just be the log fire that stimulates desire).
All these things convey '' the invitational, tug on the emotions aspect'' as far as I'm concerned, but I haven't got the 'props.' No babies, puppies or log fires.

I'll have to find something else, maybe in the 'I wish I was there' vein, or something totally different.
I've been out with the camera today, but am not sure yet whether I've captured what I was hoping for. Still thinking about it.

If, by the way, it is not the done thing to give away ideas (for free), I'll happily take this post off. Just let me know.

It is fine to share ideas Reinardina.
In essence, its often the spirit of a shot that makes a photograph more interesting. Evoking a response from the viewer connects them to the image automatically; a simple ploy used in most advertising media.

The best togs to my mind, are not necessarily those hyped by those with educated clout to spin, but the ones who simply strike a chord with the viewer, regardless of anything beyond 'expressing through the art of photography'.
