It is a lot more overcast at the moment, so fingers crossed it, at least, stays dry over the weekend!!
Hi Reinardina,
It was your mysterious The Gateway shot that inspired the idea . I have been on walks down tracks and avenues of trees, where the lines, shapes of nature and the light somehow seem to draw one along, inviting you to see what is beyond the corner or next brow.

Don't think i will be entering this week as I have computer issues and can only access this via the iPhone. Got to get an engineer in to take a look, more money. I will have to see what happens tomorrow.

Don`t know which way to go with this one. The pick me up title draws you to a product shot as Drew says and I fear a landscape might not draw others in as you would not pick up a scene unless it was a hard copy. Mmmm - more thinking!

I think you caught and framed The Gateway shot at the right moment Reinardina. At a quick glance the eye is drawn in speedlily to the area just beyond the puddle, and then, with the branches overhead to explore and the dark framing the invitation is to walk on (or run if spooked) - The mood is spot on, gripping almost, and its the sort of shot that intriques a view.

I used pick me up to provide wide choice and I guess the shot has to grab the viewer Paul, if that makes sense.

Andy, I’m really struggling for an idea with this theme, but I do hope the weather is going to be kind this weekend because I get the feeling it’s going to be something outside.

I'm struggling too Mike, and may end up trying a indoor shot if I can find the right 'props' and settle upon a subject choice (although I must get on with the building work as well). Thanks for updating the winners thread by the way.

Well, my entry is in. I was going to visit one of my local beauty spots today for a 'Wish you were here' type shot but I went into our conservatory ans spotted a beautiful glow outside. So 'Sunrise Surprise' is my entry for this week, taken from right outside our back door. Didn't have timeto set up the tripod or ND filters so just exposed for the sky and threw the land into silhouette.

Very little photoshop in this one, slight adjustments in ACR and a slight crop to take out next door's soil stack which just crept into the frame.

Not a problem, was at a loose end at work waiting for information from other people.

I am brimming over with ideas this weekend! I just don't have the props, the knowledge or the experience to carry them through...I will share, for a price!!!!!!!! or you could use telepathy and you might "pick up" on my ideas...lol
