Chat- PICK ME UP - w/e comp 21st to 23rd Jan 2011

Simply choose any subject, scene or item. Study the view in front of you, look at all the qualities, and then capture them, to their best advantage. (preferably in a single shot!).

Your task this week is to make the viewer feel they want to be there, reaching out to pick an item, your subject, or the image up.

Putting it another way; Photograph anything of your choice with impact and punch to stir the viewer's desire and or wanting. ie. You are shooting to please!( Drinks in clean glasses etc.) Or shooting to and for other's attention (Oh wow! I wish I was there to....etc.)

No editing restrictions, if you need to do a composite image or introduce textures to convey '' the invitational, tug on the emotions aspect'' feel free to do so (and tell us how you put the image together).

Rules

Posting early to maximise on thinking planning time - Have fun and enjoy your endeavours.

Oooh heck. I'd better get out of town for this one because no-one in their right mind would want to come to the village where I live.

An immediate idea came to me..this time a serious shot that involves good lighting, sharpness, a decent D of F and the right angle..................except, I DON'T HAVE THE PROPS!

Wavemachine can re enter last weekends, thats a good pick-me-up!

I simply refuse to believe that! For starters, you live there and make good photographs, so there must be something that keeps you going.

Maybe the sun will come out, wouldn't that be nice and pick-me-uppy? Add a flower and a good glass of something, or tea in a nice cup with a good looking piece of cake and off you go.

Or, if it is really that bad, photograph it and make us all happy we don't live there!

God, I had trouble thinking of something to photograph for Drew's 'Broken' Theme, time to get thinking again!

@ Reinardina - my entry was made in jest as can be seen from the smileys. Our village is an ex coal mining village presently rather run down but regeneration work has started. Indeed, as we live on the side of a valley, wehave some rather spectacular views from our garden and I may well share these with you in the competition. However, if the weather is nice tomorrow morning, I have another place about 7 miles from home that I am looking to shoot first.

Hmmm, so I am thinking 'Product Shot' containing an Object of Desire. Lots of scope there.

Great theme Andy. My mind has been busy all morning thinking of possibilities. The sun was out too, which helped.
It is a lot more overcast at the moment, so fingers crossed it, at least, stays dry over the weekend!!
