Anyone here got/used a Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS

what do you think of it?
I'm after a Zoom lens with Image stabilisation and this one could well fit the bill

thanks in advance

This is a well recommended lens. Good performance for the price. I purchased a used one and love it.

Yes. And for the money I don't think you can buy a better zoom lens.

Even when I bought a 70-200mm 2.8 IS L lens I still kept the 55-250. It's small, light and the optics punch way above its weight. See below.

In terms of value for money I think this is a great lens, obviously not the finest piece of glass on the planet but certainly a great addition to your Canon body for a pretty reasonable price

wow thats pretty impressive for that sort of price!

im also looking for a new zoom, ive got an old 70-300 f4.6 sigma lens that cost me about £170 a few years back and i just cant use it since using my canon 24-70 f2.8, the quality just sucks imo. Ive been looking at the 100-400 f4 but im struggling to justify the price. how much better is 55-250 over the sigma 70-300?
