Reducing Kb

Hi first of hello to everyone im new here.

Im trying to upload a few photo's onto the site only to be told my file size is to large kb wise
how can i reduce the kb without resizing the photo any information would be greatly appreciated or is resizing my only option

resizing is the best option. You shouldn't need to upload an image that is much more than 1280 along the long edge.
