Smile Aperture

hi there people i currently have a Canon D30 which i am selling to get the 1000D my question is currently the lowest i can get the aperture to is about f4 does this alter by the lense u use or is it the camera i like taking pictures of wildlife and landscape and flowers but alot of pictures i look at are usualy alot less then mine aperture wise.

aperture is a function of the lens, not the camera. It is the size of the hole the light comes through in relation to the length of the lens.

So you will have an F4 lens or an f2.8 lens etc which shows the widest aperture possible with that lens.
