Thanks for taking time to look at my gallery; for the encouragement and for the 5* rating. As you know I've been using the weekend competition as a learning tool. It motivates me to produce a photograph that I might not thought of taking before. Some of the entries on there are amazing. Good luck with the rest of your project.

Well done Karen.

Miight have the 'Pros' protesting about the publicity you received!

Just tried your link and it didn't work. Also, tried Google but that bombed out as well. Perhaps the site is down.

Late in here Karen - just picked up on this. Well done - nice set.Did you get re-instated? Were insurance issues raised - do you have public liability cover etc? many is the discussion I have had with our local council on access for photographs - even in public squares with major events. A funny, inconcsistent lot and I have had to take up a policy of non-compliance with some of their impossible permit application conditions (written consent for every person recognisable in the square at say a Christmas market/parental consent for kids). In the end it is easier to shoot until you are stopped / moved on as security are inconsiustent. Of course on a demolition closed off site it is all very different. I am certain my council would not allow access at all - especially without insurance- so you are lucky having the cop-operation you have had so far.

Hi Paul,

Yes I have got reinstated, I have been back on site for the last 2 days but have certain times only now instead of being able to go on and off at will. The only issue now is college as they are concerned I am spending so much time documenting this with exams coming up lol. I am pretty sure I can fit everything in. Only one block to go now too so I will kind of be glad when its over! I will be going on site once a week once all the blocks are down to document the garden landscaping they will be doing. No insurance issues were raised and I don't have any as I am not a pro or anything. I have had run ins doing photos of Christmas events too :-(

Karen, I'm glad you got reinstated. Common sense prevailed.

Hi Karen,

Do you ever watch Wedi 7 on S4C?

My project/the arcades was featured on there on Tuesday night!

No but I would have loved to see have your shots on there. That's amazing, Amy :-) Will it be repeated? Did you record it? Maybe you could stick the recording on this site? You are doing great with your project :-)

I was on TV though this week as well on BBC Wales, the back of my head and body lol. My Mum rang me up not very happy to have spotted me in the middle of the EDL with my camera ;-) Our local council are banning future political protests and they showed footage of the EDL in Wrexham last year!
