Classic Sue!

I would have thought his sickness record would have counted against him.

Was Stan ever prosecuted under the equalities act?

Did the chap who dithered about becoming a pro for ages ever make it? P.S If you're reading this let us know.

Hmmm! Being a grumpy old git is fine. I had my moments of grumpiness over at the old DCM site myself. What I hate most of all though is cyber bullying which happens when things get a bit personal I suppose. It was a great forum nonetheless and lots of really nice people on the whole. I learnt a lot from many of the members there when I went from film to digital and won't forget their generosity.

Yes I seem to remember DMT and Bolton Dave getting together.

I was on the old site for a couple of years. Left before everything changed & rejoined when I realised that the person who spoiled it then had eventually been banned.

Yes, I remember you Cathus. Although the said member (from the Scottish Isles I think) was a pain in the bum at times, to put it mildly, I do think the vultures descended on him quite harshly. All in the past though, and hopefully this forum won't go the same way. Like most people here I only frequent it to pick up tips and to help others if I am able to. Poor old Stan! I wonder if he is still with us on this side of life?

As an Elements user, and not normally a great fan of things American, I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed the last years membership of www.elementsvillage.com .I can't remember the last time I saw any post with the terseness and downright rudeness I used to see on the Adobe Elements forum. I remember a fair number of posts on DCMag where things were getting out of hand and that does not seem anywhere like as bad with PhotoRadar, however..... I do feel something is lacking with this forum. Trouble is I cannot put my finger on it. Are there too many categories and the usefulness of posts gets diluted? Do we miss the tension created by rude and/or grumpy old gits? Have we just lost some of the "characters" that we got to know so well? Are they still with us but just frustrated? For sure there are still heaps of peeps willing to answer questions and give advice but it seems to take longer and there just don't seem to be as many. Or is it just me getting past 50? (Ed.- well 16years past 50 to be precise!!)
I'd love to know what others think.
Dagwood

At least on the old site one never felt restricted in calling a spade a spade, like saying that you thought that a picture had the artistic merit and aesthetics of a cold rice pudding. That's part of the problem with this site, everybody tip-toes around frightened to death of ruffling a few feathers when it comes to commenting.

Bring back Shelfy he'd liven things up! Mind you he's doing a good job at that elsewhere.
