That's a striking and nicely conceived portrait John. Possibly a little more crop at the top? But really very nice.

I like the natural pose as well, it looks like she is deep in thought or reading something.

Yep, nice pose and capture, the only thing I would say is that unless you told me it was by candle light I wouldn't have known.. I'd of commented on the white balance perhaps the candle in the shot would have helped expain the colour cast, but then the composition would have been different......

Thank you, yeah she is often deep in thought.... Unlike me

Thanks.....

Yeah I see what you mean but I am not a stickler for what's right or wrong just what I think looks nice so if someone thinks the white balance is off but still likes the finished result then that's fine by me
