Taken at the 'Stop the War' demo back in '08.
I don't march much any more, I usually wait at the final destination, saves my old legs!

CND do still exist and celebrated their 50th anniversary back in '08.

This is a nice shot, the woman with the logo on her face. I want to photograph this sort of thing as well. I was going to go to the student demos last year. One because I wanted to protest but two because I felt it would be a good photo opportunity. Your demos look a little bit more tranquil :-)

Peple always seem to equate the word demonstration with violence. I suppose it's because on the odd occasion when violence occurs it gets the front page. 99+% of demos are peaceful. If you want to photograph violence, or the possibility of it, find out where the police will be,or are, ther's a good chance that's where the violence will occur!

There's violence and there's 'menace'.

Great images ABERS. You always seem to achieve a wonderful richness of tone in your B+W shots - whether through mastery of channels, levels and curves or by some more mysterious alchemy. Whatever, it is admirable work.
