I like the processing work. Actually having him in b/w is a nice contrast to the colour background. I also like the decay in the background - was this where he was actually standing?
We've just had a mosque open in Wrexham and I have been tempted to ask permission to photograph inside there but I am not sure how I will come off as I am a female photographer. I know even worship is segregated.

Nice image, however, Mr Abercrombie, sir, I have to be pedantic: there seems to be an odd colour variation just inside the far lens of the imam's glasses. And his jumper is a bit fuzzy at the bottom (right). Or is that just me?

Regards
Denise

I agree with Karen and I love the 'character' in his face.

Denise, Your pedanticism does you credit:-). It's amazing the little areas you forget when you do a bit of desaturisation. I got the 'wooly bits' off using the gadget that you can buy to remove the knobbly bits off jumpers!

Thanks for the comments, and pointing out the error of my ways.

Alan, you must be getting bored mate. To continue Denise's pendanticism I would also mention that there is something not quite right with the gentleman's right hand sleeve, where the hard edge stops and a soft feather begins. Minutae this might seem, but it did stick out like a sore thumb for me. To also say I am not a real fan of this duall colourisation technique, although I have tried it myself once or tewice where I thought it would improve interest to a dull image. My images being dull of course, not yours...

Just noted I've been knighted!

I'm not going to bugg*r about any more. I'm getting careless and slapdash, just like it used to say on my school report. Must be the makings of a new year's resolution in there somewhere.

Don't worry Sir Alan; my spelling is rather slapdash it seems. Just as it was when I was at school. The words that needed correction are below and have been written out 100 times so that I will remember how to spell them in future.
Minutiae
Twice
Dual
Pendanticism (a word not to be found in the English dictionary)

Not to be pedantic, but it's pedanticism....

My spelling is ruined by working for an American company for 30 years (no offence to Americans)
