Good use of rule of thirds with the pathway leading you into the picture at the start. Looks like you've cropped, what did you remove? [That's if you did drop it!!]. Would consider trying to bring out the blue in the sky more, maybe photoshop or something similar could help with that.
Otherwise, I'd suggest if you're new to DSLR photography, then take pictures from every angle and be very critical of yourself on reviewing your images. Only choose the best to show to others :-)

I like this shot, the rule of thirds has been put to use in this shot very well resulting in a good image. The brige almost leads you into the scene; saying this, I do feel you should have postioned your self further to the left or right of the brige. This would result in an all together better photo.

Although, I do feel this image is still good anyway! :]

Nice pic and I agree with the other guys about the composition.

Another suggestion that I would make is that you appear to have been standing whilst taking the pic. I just wonder if by getting a lower angle, you might have changed the dynamics of the whole scene.
