@ DD - Note the comp restrictions - only basic PP allowed. I have asked for further guidelines above.

I might give this a try tomorrow. I have two, very basic ideas, but I don't own either a flash or a tripod so it will have to wait for daylight. I shall try them tomorrow and see if either are passible enough to give it a go!

Will try and get one in tomorrow but only two ideas at the moment - one as it comes and one with some photoshoppery needed so need a definition from uckyboy as to what is allowed.
In days gone by basic meant:
Cropping, levels adjustment, brightness / contrast adjustments and only dust spots being allowed to be cloned out with no other trickery allowed for effects etc. Current rules make it up to Muckyboy to define though to be fair he does say it`s about thinking the shot out in advance rather than using photoshop so my 2nd idea is out of line and suggests any effects not done within camera bar the above maybe would be allowed.

Guidance please Muckyboy

have a good one everyone.
I`m in cooking a meal for friends who should have been taking us down to Cheltenham for a long weekend to take in the the racing on New Years day. If I could physically get my gear out I`d be tempted to do a food shot as I am doing a rather nice sea bass with saffron / maharat spiced rice, carrot and balck onion seed salad and taghini sauce. Hope it tastes as good as it sounds and looks on the pcture as I`ve not done it before and want to make it up to them for ruining their weekend.

Nice photographs people omg you're so quick to post. I've taken a couple of shots today but I'm not really sure about them. The subject matter is a bit gloomy/morbid to say the least, but hey! Who knows it might be ok. I've got to upload them and check that the focus is ok. By the way, are B&W entries allowed?

Glad to have been reminded by everyone about the 'basic editing only' bit, otherwise I might have done a Cutter.

Anyway, here's mine:

Must Learn to Play My Guitar:

The editing on this consists of running the RAW through DxO on auto, but with the dynamic lighting turned off and a tweaked unsharp mask. Not even cropped it.

Hope that is OK.
