I like number 13 the best, as I think she looks natural. Don't know what lens you used but they look a bit close, which can cause the subject to notice the camera. Also, as it was a christmas theme why didn't you get her to open a present? Then she wouldn't be thinking about you and only have eyes for the present.

Thanks, I was using 18 - 105mm lens and a good idea about the present but it was a week before Christmas when I took them

As the shots were Christmas related, a present opening would have given you a cracking shot and worth the effort. If you have a 70-200mm lens then suggest you use that, as you can stand futher back, so reducing the interaction between you and the subject.

I thought I would put the matter to rest and I phoned the customer tonight to check everything was OK and ask her if the photos were OK etc.

She said she 'Loved Them'

"John..they are absolutely lovely" were her exact words. She said she had shown them to other family members and she was going to sit down with them in the coming days once the holidays were over and order :thumbs:

So thanks for all feedback and even though this turned out well as in the customer was happy (most important) I will still take on board all the comments etc
