Less bah today, so maybe go to the Jessops sale and pick up a tripod instead... They do a nice carbon fibre number I believe which has had good reviews!
In that case buy online and collect in store to save £50.

OldBoy, I did pop into a store today, and almost bought a tripod, till the guy behond the counter told me I could do just that! Order online and pay in store! Problem solved!!!! It now means I can get a much better tripod and head than the store had in stock, and it looks like Jessops are actually good value for tripods and heads - undercutting Amazon on the Manfrotto joystick heads by about £30!

So it looks like I'll go Manfrotto across the board- didn't hugely like the Jessops head, although the tripod was nice enough, I just fancy the articulated centre section!

I got a Walimax instant light cube, cool. See my post in beginner's questions.
I also should have a Cannon EOS 550D but Citylink still have it, they said they would deliver on 24th December, after first saying 23rd December but still nadah!

Still have the 500D which my husband is having when the 550D finally arrives.

@ DigiDiva - I think that Michael is a Sony user and that he was probably looking for THIS one.

A memory card case and David Notons book Full Frame for me just need a quiet moment to read it now but a quick flick through reveals some stunning and inspirational images which unlike in "Waiting for the light" semm to have all been taken using Digital.

I believe my mother in law has got me a voucher for my local camera shop so my 6 year old daughter blurted out shortly before being told to shut up by my wife
