And for the girls' corner: Bonnie Raitt, Joan Jett and Dolly Parton. Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Kurt Cobain for the lefties; also Dave Gilmour, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.

AAAaaaaagggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot Jimmy Page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The man who almost made me buy some purple velvet flares

And I heard mention of Geddy Lee as a bass guitarist (still marvel watching RUSH live as he plays 6 and 12 strings and then 4, 5 and 6 string bass - and keyboards - and keyboards with his feet (organ pedals). So can we name favourite drummers too (being an ex-drummer)?

Neil Peart and John Bonham - nuff said

@Andy - is it an age thing or the fact that you have been busy with your exhibition that you are forgetting things???

Regards
Denise

@Stormsong,

Denise, I'd like to say the exhibition - but I think age might be nearer the truth - and don't forget my 2-year old. Keeping up with him takes all my grey cells

Cheers
Andy

PS I'm also blaming iTunes - I remember the days I would flick through a rack of vinyl to select some sounds and now I just quickly browse the several hundred pre-loaded titles and never get much further than just hitting play on what I listened to before (mind you, that is Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb - the live 'Pulse' version and difficult to browse past - the best guitar solo of all time?!). I would never have forgotten Jimmy or Keith in the vinyl days. Now if that doesn't make me sound/feel old...
