It is a top shot Mark. I am envious. but then I suppose that is how you reap the rewards when you get up early and chase these types of shots.

Hey Andy i wanted longer shadows but ther were too many footprints in the snow and it looked a bit messy so had to get closer thanks for your comments

Hi Mark, I agree with andy. In the first photo a step or two back would have shown more of the shadows and included the top of the tree. Two great shots and congrats. on potd. John

nice shots i love the 2nd shot its as if the night is holding on in the lower part with dawn bearing down
