Gym Photo Session

I'm in the process of building a website for a personal trainer who is based in a local gym, and have suggested taking some photographs to help illustrate his 'services'.
The gym will be in normal operation with clients 'doing there stuff' on the various pieces of equipment, so my question is "Whithout being too intrusive, how do I capture some good shots with my Canon 450D" I have an 18-55mm and a 70-300mm lens, and skill level would be beginner.
The light in the gym is pretty good as you can imagine.
Is there anything else I would need to consider?

Thanks,

Hi George, welcome to the forum

I would suggest that you want to take some wide shots (around the 18-25mm range) covering the whole gym and then some close up, abstracty shots of control panels on pieces of equipment or other little details.

If it's well lit you shouldn't have too many problems. The only thing you might want to consider is other people in the gym and whether or not you want them, and they don't mind being, in your photos.

A 'get in on the action' close up shot of some sort may suit. Perhaps some showing the interaction betwwen personal trainer and his her clients (as I guess that is the selling point?).
