Firstly - it wouldn't work. Where does everyone get the idea that 3 shots bracketed at -2 and +2 around the metered centre makes an HDR? IT DOESN'T! It's rarely, if ever enough. I shoot a lot of HDR and I have never seen an instance where +2, 0, -2 was under or over exposed enough. Coupled with the loss of tonal gradation from missing out +1 and -1 the end result of auto-bracketed exposures are usually grainy, with poor gradation and clipped highlights - completely defeating the point of HDR
A true HDR mode would have to snap off several (or more) exposures. This would take far too long to avoid camera movement between shots using the focal plane shutter and aperture blades so you'd have to do it digitally - effectively "post-capture ISO increase" and so would never give very good quality.

There is a limit to how much further we can go with sensitivity on CMOS sensors based on the current architecture - and we're reaching the upper limits in terms of absolute sensitivity. Better noise control would perhaps be an issue but most upper end SLRs are surprisingly clean at higher ISOs anyway now.
I'd like true lower ISOs like 100, 50, 25.
Also, square sensors. The imaging circle is still a circle so why not fill it completely with a square sensor rather than the rectangular ones we have now. You'd never have to choose portrait or landscape again - you'd crop to your choice.
