I agree completely. I used the 5DII and 7D as examples only because they're from the same manufacturer.

The K5 would be my choice of the current crop. I'd be potentially interested in the D300s and D700 replacements as well. Of course, the 5DIII is on the rumour mill as well...

You're right Chris, this week the K5, next week it'll be something else. The fact is I still regularly use my first ever DSLR - it's not a whizz bang as the latest offerings by a long way, but it does the job.

Right now I'm trying to save up to follow my own lens advice . . .
