Trying Black & White 4

Hi,
I've been a follower of Black and White photography for many years, but never been very good at it, generally because I didn't have a darkroom and was using film

I've followed this forum for several weeks, and there are some very good B&W capable photographers on here and I'd like to ask you to provide feedback (Positive or Negative) to images I post here.

I'm interested in what you think could make the image better (not the content or composition, that's another problem to be fixed :-) ), but more the conversion itself.

I'll add this header to each image I submit.
Please feel free to provide constructive critiscism.

Thanks in Advance

Phil

Here's the fourth image...

It was desaturated in Lightroom, cropped, and exposure brought back just a touch to bring the whites back in. A light exposure graduation was added from the top left just to stop the eye from wandering out that way.

Composition could be better I know, the sign at the bottom of the tree could be spotted out, but I couldn't wait for the cars to drive past - it was that cold

Phil

I quite like it Phil. Think I might have been tempted to include all the branches on the right hand side so maybe a step backwards? And the top left grad works well to keep your eye in frame. It's not a gripe, but I keep wondering what the building is which takes me away from the trees etc.

Cheers
Andy
