Don't know about kids but my nephew is getting married in August so I hope that they don't pick the same day as him. I'd hate to have to choose which wedding to go to.

I just find it interesting its been announced when the country is currently depressed about the economy and all the Tory cuts. Its almost like they thought we needed cheering up so thought" hey lets arrange a royal wedding to take the public's mind of everything".

@Karen, that's why they do these things. You will probably find that Prince Charles's marriage to Diana was also during a time of recession or economic woes. As for having kids, attractive or not, I predict a date for the first birth to coincide with the 2012 Olympics . . .

The engagement doesn't interest me one little bit and I ended up turning the TV off because it was on every news channel. it certainly isn't going to make people struggling to make ends meet feel any better.

Perhaps if the Royal Family stopped sponging off the British tax payers and get real jobs like everyone else, instead of living the grotesquely over priviledged life that they do, that might cheer people up.
