Thumbs down December issue

This is the second month in a row, DC is supposed to be in shops but still no sign of it, I know a lot of people who can't afford the subscription but the buy it every month but if it is not in shops reders will buy another alternatives e.g Digital Photo or Practical Photography and that is exactly what I did this morning.

I do not live in a remote arrea I live in Glasgow, so I do not know the reason why. However, I do understand now why our camera club have all been buying Digital Photo and/or practical photography.

Sort it out Digital Camera becaue you are losing out to at least 35 readers fro out camera club and I am sure more out there

Hi Nikoni,

Today is only the first day that December's Digital Camera was due to be on sale, but apologies if it wasn't there this morning.

I will ask our distribution people if there has been a problem.

Thanks,

Amy

Did you see the part where she said today was the first day on sale? Perhaps the store staff did not have time to get them out yet? The lorry got a flat tyre on the way?

Hi Nikoni,

I am still waiting to hear back at the moment, I'll post as soon as I do.

Did you ask the particular newsagents if they had any copies, as Don points out it may have been that they hadn't put them out yet or some other reason?

Thanks,

Amy

I got my subscriber copy on Saturday and I also saw it in WHSmiths on the same day. The reason I subscribe is because it is cheaper, the money goes from bank every quarter and it's a couple of quid cheaper to have it that way. If you can't get it in the shops subscribe, that way you'll have it without having to go to the shops to see if they have it in yet and you're saving a few quid every issue.

My daughter went into WH Smiths in Leeds yesterday with instructions to get the current mag cos I have an image in it and was given November`s issue- unsurprisinglyu- as current issue as "December`s won`t be out for a couple of weeks yet". Makes sense to the casual buyer.
No harm doen as I had not got Nov`s but have to put my hand in my pocket again now and again December issue is not showing at Sainsburys, Smiths or the local newsagent yet.

I`m having a break from subscription at the moment but it is worthwhile and anyone wanting some processing software can get a good deal just now.

Hi there,

Distribution have not got back to me and said there are no known problems, and are offering the explanation that the stores had not put them out for display yet as yesterday was the first day of sale.

Can I ask you jinky when you tried?

Thanks and apologies for any inconvenience caused,

Best wishes,

Amy

It was yesterday -16th in the afternoon. The staff member obviously knew little of delivery dates / what classed as the new issue. No worries - another read for me and I`ll keep an eye out for the new one now I know what is on the front. There is an empty "Digital Camera Mag" space at Sainssbury`s so muct be on the way.

Ok, well if you let me know if it still doesn't appear I can pass it on to distribution and they will investigate a bit more for you.

Nice shot in the mag btw!
