Andy Stevens Exhibition

It's time to put my money where my mouth is - my first proper exhibition! I have secured a 6-week slot at my local Forestry Commission venue. I have a tough act to follow though, I'm on straight after The Landscape Photographer Of The Year 2009 exhibition!! No pressure!!!

Details below;

If you'd like to know more, please either see My news page, the Moors Valley website or send me a PM.

Entrance is free but they do charge for parking.

Cheers
Andy

PS The Moors Valley website seems to be having a day off!

Well done, Andy. Must be a great feeling to achieve something like this. Probably a bit far for me to go but good luck with it :-)

Along with the recently announced forthcoming exhibition at Totton it looks like a good day out making the trip a day's outing.

Thanks Karen, if it's a rip-roaring success I'll make it a roadshow

Yes Abers, Totton is about 12/15 miles from Moors Valley - I'm reserving the use of 'good' though until I've had some visitirs and feedback.

Definitely halfway between nervously excitied and excitedly nervous

Thanks one and all - certainly looking forward to it.

Ian, didn't think about cheese and wine - perhaps for the next one And totting up how much all the frames/paper/canvases etc have cost, it would have been cheapo Tesco wine and Dairylea triangles !!

And milovision - I guess I've stood and admired your work then I'm at Moors Valley most weeks/weekends letting my 2-year old run off steam. Always make a point of looking in the visitor centre for exhibitions - just looked at your gallery to see if I recognise any images but you've not got that far yet. How did Moors Valley go fo you? I'm as interested in feedback from strangers as much as selling prints.

Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy - I exhibited some from here: http://www.dbphotographic.com/ and some from my blog: http://www.milouvision.com/ Moors Valley - I think I probably broke even (making cash wasn't the primary motive) but I learnt a great deal from setting up the show from getting insurance to framing etc. I really want to print fewer but larger images but the inability to use the woodwork for fixing kept the image/frame size to a certain size.

I had little feedback but that wasn't too worrying as I've had a fair amount over the years via the blog. I did have a good chat with people when I was putting up the images. All in all, a show is a great focal point and it's great to see images mounted/framed etc although the new exhibition will be frame free.
