More shots of some great faces and everyday situations. So much easier shooting outside the UK with street photography. They see a camera and show absolutely no fear or insecurities. It's just great.

Hello again all! I completely forgot about this forum, shame on me. I used to post stuff all the time on the last website and even started the ball rolling on this one. So anyway I think I will be back to making regular appearances again. I'm moving to start a new life in London in a few weeks! Street photography capital of the country here I come!

I did a night at my camera club last week (my first one) on street photography which was a huge sucess by all accounts. You rarely see street photos on 'the circuit' so everyone said it was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual artic terns that seem to be here there and everywhere these days (at least at my club).

In honor of this new adventure I'm starting a street photography blog on my website to document life through the eyes of a street photographer in their first year in London... I have written the first entry but its not up yet, I'll let you all know when its up and running.

I have looked through the thread so far and there are some absolutely cracking shots! Well done everyone and keep posting, we need to get this thread back up to its former glory!

This shot was taken in Moscow in the summer. Although its not new it hangs above my fire place because I love it so much. New stuff to follow soon

Nice review on the Canonn s90 Photoradar, sounds like a great little compact for street photography, if only it had an image stabilised lens...

As promissed here is one of my most recent photos. It might remind you Henri Cartier-Bresson's famous photograph showing his 'decisive moment'. This is my tribute to the father of street photography.

Hi Joe,

thanks!... story... I was just walking around and there was this awesome family... so I took this shot then a few more and after had a quick chat to explain who I was, what they were for, was that cool etc and ended up arranging to make some more formal portraits in the future...

The fun part for me was this shot is un-posed... I don't shoot from the hip and shoot manual with a spot meter and the light was a monster to expose correctly... dark shadows and bright natural light dividing the image so I had to do about 5 things really fast... luckily everyone in frame is a brilliant character and it just fell into place : )

Love the above shot... huge fan of Bresson... and of your new Flickr group = )

Thanks for the story and great to hear that you had a chat with them afterwards! I have updated my website and officially started my London street photography blog. Check it out at http://www.joebuxton.com/section361178.html. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am also donating all print sale profits from my photos to the charity Mind. I'm running the London marathon this year (my first) in memory of my brother. There is more information on the website. Enjoy the blog!

I'm a photographer not a terrorist!

I'm sure a few of you must have been there too. The 'I'm a photographer not a terrorist' campaign had a great turn out in Trafalga Square at the weekend. It was so much fun. 2000 photographers trying to take pictures of the other 1999 photographers. Brilliant and for an important cause as well. Took so many pictures its taking a while to edit through them but here are some for starters

and my personal favourite so far...

Plenty more where those came from....
