Best equipment insurance?

Is anyone out there that can recommend an insurance company for semi professional?
I am looking at claims experience, as you can have cheap cover, but when it comes to claiming it's a different story!
Am looking for about 10k and to be covered abroad for up to 20 days?

I guess most of us have tagged their camera insurance onto their home contents insurance. Whilst that is good for most things, accidental damage and theft in the home, I'm not sure how anyone would stand if mugged or had their gear stollen whilst on the street. Thankfully I have never had to put it to the test. Here's a list of googled pages to check out, although I have always found money supermarket .com very useful and worth checking out.

I use Imaging Insurance, was recommended to me by a couple of pros 2 years ago when I was looking, though I've not had to claim so I can't comment on that side.

One of the people who recommended them had 3 claims in 3 years & said they were very good, quick & professional, but of course, that's second hand info, or is it third hand now I've told you?

Unfortunantly most home insurance will not cover if you work as a semi pro/ pro and certainly not whilst doing a job for a client.

I've also not had to claim but this was recommended a while ago in DC Mag and I have seen them at Focus on Imaging at there stand too,

http://www.photoguard.co.uk/

I pay £4.33p a month! and thats something like £50 a year but I chose to pay monthly so I pay a little interest
and have £890 worth of insured items
and £1 Million Public Liability
and £5,000 Personal injury!

I enquired with my home insurance company and they covered most situations, Accident, Theft, etc.however client liability did not come in to it, but the rates were comparable with most other companies, I insured approx £5000.00 equipment which covered both my wife's camera equipment and my own, and that increased my premiums by £5.00 per month.

Alex.
