That`s great . Thanks for the "highly commended " in the landscape section - made my day as I never expected to get that far with my first ever entry.

I`m guessing that it`s the top three in each section announced in December so those left are either in that top 3 or just made the initial short-list then.

Ah well - there is always next year and good luck to those left in it. Some cracking shots across the board and I still cannot make my mind up which is best so don`t envy the judges and the inevitable backlash /reaction that follows every year.

ps. just wondering if there is going to be an exhibition of the winning entries? like last year...?

Hi kitsch,

Congratulations on making the highly commended list - that means you made it to the last 100 out of 114,000 shots - pretty impressive.

This year there's not going to be an exhibition, the winners will be printed in the magazine and on the website (7th December). Not too long to wait now...

Does that mean if you haven't been asked for a photo of yourself for the mag by now that you're not a winnner or placed? I am sure I remember Jim and someone else post that they'd been asked for a head and shoulders shot or something for the mag. If I am not placed it would be nice to know so I can get rid of these 24/7 butterflies and sleepless nights lol

All we can say at the moment is that the winners have not been notified, everyone will find out their final placing on the 7th December.
