Thumbs down im not in love

My first post on the new website,

i have to admit i am bit disappointed.

My name now is now browndog2 not my login name on DCM browndog.......i wont to change back to browndog or another name of my choice.

I cant seem to find out how to change my name by looking through the the threads because they are so badly organized ....... it looks like the disorganization of the old site ..... can you at least sort the threads into some sort of logical order.

I dont mind the corporateRadar look but its so sloooooow on my work PC compared to bikeradar

sorry if all this has been said before but cant seem to find faq section.

Cheers

David

I think you are going to have to live with the name or register a new one. I queried why I am NormanLaw3. I couldn't believe there were 2 other NormanLaws registered but was told there were. You can't change your name only register a new one but expect you will find that BrownDog will have been taken

Hi guys,

We're aware of this having happened, apologies - we know it's annoying.

We're currently looking into the situation now, to see if there is anything we can do.

Cheers, Rach

Er... that should've been done *before* the site left its alpha testing phase, surely?

I'm also a bit puzzled as to how, or why, Browndog didn't manage to keep his name. It's not as if it's a common forum member name. Surely the name would've been "parked" when the "V.I.P. invitations" were sent out to him, thus allowing him to pick-up his old DCM name..?

@Hybird you would have thought it would be simple to delete my account and rename it as browndog

Something needs to be done as i cant login ...i keep getting unrecognised user name or wrong password

The only way i can login to is to request a password reset....:mad

My user name is not wrong as i am using the login name you gave me (browndog2) and my password is not wrong because i can remember what i use as a password...............so it looks like YOU HAVE A PROBLEM with your login/password and your replacement login password system

WHEN IS PHOTORADAR going to sort out this problem ????

Getting cheesed off

David

There's the problem. The username is also the login name. I use my username as my login name, so I appear as "Hybrid". The problem you're suffering with is down to someone somewhere behind the scenes making a balls-up, and supplying you with an incorrect login name.

One way out for you might be to re-register as your original username, provided you've not already made a gallery, and also that your original username isn't taken by someone else.

They *might* sort the problem out if they get a clue, to be honest.

You're not the only one suffering login problems though. DMT can't log in, her username isn't recognised now the site's gone "live".

Hi Hybird yep someone has made a balls up BUT if DMT is having problems the same as me you would think someone from the team would reply to this thread.

I think the staff are keeping their heads down, as they've realised the mistake they've made.. launching an unfinished website, thanks to them running out of time and excuses.

You aren't the only one who's ****ed off. The lack of communication has already caused one longtime admin to quit. During the beta testing, I gave up reporting bugs, again due to poor communications.

The Camera Craniums site is a much better run site, fwiw.
