Yes I used to make my husband do that , before he dug the back lawn, side lawn and front lawn up and lined them. He then had tons of decorative stone delivered and left me and the dogs with no more grass! ;-)

I like your husband's firm approach to gardening, but feel very sorry for you and the dogs. Couldn't you have stopped him? It must have taken some time to dig everything up. You might have negotiated a 'half way solution?' Leave half a lawn, that you could have tended in turns? Or sow wild flower seeds, that need no tending and give plenty of colour?

It snowed here today. It was cold, very windy and snowy for much of the day. No chance to try out the new filters
