Like Andy I was stacking logs, amongst other things, so didn't quite find the time or energy to create something for this one.

Jinky, I really liked your reject

Yeah H probably should have stuck with it as Mrs Jinky said. Just didn`t think it had enough silhouettes going for it as I`d lost parts of the figures as they came down the hill before I saw the shot. Just too short of time to get what I really wanted but I liked this rowing couple who in the end were just shouting for their wayward dog rather than bickering.
I hope lower numbers are down to site traffic problem rather than choice of subject by me. Should have gone with ogga`s idea maybe

Oh dear, yours and highland scenics were my favorites then you withdrew them. think you should always go with your first.

Finding it difficult to choose at the moment

Well, thanks (partly) to a funeral, I failed to get an entry in *again*

I have, however been useful and removed the not-quite-poll threads and sticky'ed the actual poll. Good entries as usual this weekend. I'll have to try harder next week!

Do one if you like bodsao I`m sure all would appreciate it. Seems eveb more apt when you have not got an entry in as an impartial observer.

Congratulations to Muckyboy and Michaelb104, great joint win, some very strong entries this week. Nice spread of votes too.

Well I cant help myself more lame comments.

oggalily - High tide, mid-afternoon - Have to say that I love this. The colour is great. This would have worked last week. Nice atmosphere. Surprised it did not get more votes. As I keep saying what do I know? The only comment I could offer would be that the light behind the neck is a little distracting.

Silversnapper1 - Moonscape - Nice idea, the addition of the moon is a little obvious and this takes away from the overall image. For me it may have had more impact of you had been able to darken the buildings at each side to a stronger silhouette with moonlight in the centre.

Michaelb104 - Grass Seed - Very cool image, even better at full size. Sharp and well framed. Very unusual silhouette. Stunning.

Semaj - End of the Day - Really nice subject, love the location. I like the reflection but am not sure about the crop. I would like to see the full reflection of the trees and for me this would have really lifted the image. Still a good take with great colour.

Jinky - A Lover`s Tiff ( or is it a jpeg) - Nice, really love the framing with the trees. Once again I like the colour on the foliage. Every picture tells a story, walking a dog indeed. For me a tighter crop on the left side to eliminate the sky between the edge and the tree would have worked.

Highlandscenics - Tinkerbell - great to see someone doing something innovative. I am not sure if it is my cup of tea. I do think it would look fantastic with some more colour like really crazy man.

Mr C - Burnham Silhouette - Nice, great sunset. I feel that this would have been fantastic if it had a bold silhouette at the front. People or something to contrast against the sun and the water.

Robertojeda - cat? - Not sure about this one, good take on subject but personally I think the background is cluttered. The overall colour is not helping the image. But what do I know.

Muckyboy - Sunday Worship - Nice, Sharp bright and a really strong silhouette. Really like the club head in the sun. Could have been even darker at the bottom. Great job mate. Love the buildings over to the left.

SieSmith - Can I dig now Dad? - Yet another good image. My kind of thing, all dark and moody with great highlights. If I was to comment it would be to say that the overall image is a little too dark. Cant believe I said that. Especially as it is a silhouette so dark is good.

Cutter - Cross - What a beautiful crisp shot. The sun behind the building is very well done with no over exposure. Very strong silhouette real nice. I would say top 3 but I have noticed that my top 3 has 5 images in it this week.

Ordinarily I would say feel free to comment on my image but I was too busy or lazy to enter.

Two deserved winners this week and a strong field. Thanks for those who voted for mine - for those who aren't aware, it's an approximation of Paul Weller's "Wild Wood" album cover so no points for originality. I do think it's an interesting exercise to try to "reverse engineer" a shot you like though.

Above and below:
cross - wasn't this hit by lightning in an earlier comp? Anyway nice strong silhouette and well done to capture the sun behind (assuming it wasn't done in post).

moonscape - really lovely shot, envious of that great moon and I like the strong diagonal along the lit street. Doesn't really fit the theme for me unfortunately.

Congrats Muckyboy and Michaelb104 a well deserved joint win.

Bodsao

Thanks for the critique unfortunately I was concentrating on the skyline and really missed the reflections. The only crop I did was a bit of the sky to bring the picture ratio the same as my monitor and it also helps cut down the file size a bit too.

Thanks for the vote’s folks it is much appreciated.

Superb silhouette really like this and a well deserved joint winner also cool as bodsao has already said.

Below
Jinky - A Lover`s Tiff (or is it a jpeg)

Nice composition and it got my vote, however why did you change your first entry it was quite superb and when I first seen it I thought to myself why did I bother to enter mine this is the winner. However I am glad to see I am not the only one to make the wrong decisions.

Jim.
