Nice shot - a completely different approach to your typical seaside/resort type shot.
Slightly annoyingly, I can only read 'Short Stay', 'Tourist Information' and 'Long Stay' on the sign. The line that might give a clue is a little too blurred to identify the location... And that's no criticism on the image, just trying to identify the location

It just goes to show that most seaside promenades look the same, especially from this viewpoint.
You need to move about 100 miles west from Brighton to Devon.
